I saw this old man with his dog from distance. Hoping for a good shot I followed them for few minutes until I almost got disappointed. Lots of people were crossing the view and the positioning of the man-dog never seemed right. Eventually, the man stopped to drink water and served the dog with his hands. He was a cupbearer (ساقی).
In my opinion the photo is underexposed. The face of the man is totally in shade and is more or less invisible. Framing could also be better : The man’s head upper part as well as the left side of the dog are cropped.
Your comments would be totally true ONLY if these properties were created unintentionally. However, I chose the exposure level, the frame borders and the POV of this photograph exactly as it is.
نظرم خلاف نظر دوست بالاست، به نظر مهم‌ترین نقطه این عکس دستهای پیرمرد و صورت سگ در حین اب خوردن است که خوب و واضح فوکوس شده، از اونجایی که خود سگ بعنوان یک حیوان ( از منظر زیبایی شناسی) مد نظر نیست و حس عکس مهم بنابراین نبود دم سگ در تصویر هم صدمه چندانی به موضوع نزده. در کل این عکس رو خیلی دوست داشتم، چون اولین نقطه ای که جلب توجه میکنه دستان پیرمرده که فکر میکنم منظور عکاس هم همین بود. شلوار و کفشهای کتانی پیرمرد هم در کنار سگ حس خوبی بهم میده، شاید درست نباشه اما حسی از جوانی رو در پیرمرد برام تداعی میکنه
