keep her clean

Today I did a bit of housekeeping in my photoblog. I changed the theme and added cool widgets in the footer area (can you see them?) and updated several pages. I feel better now!
I am not really posting chronologically here. I open my photo-catalog, move inside it randomly for half an hour or so. Taking my time and enjoying with old memories and everything. Then I pick a photo. It can be from yesterday or yesteryear or …
What does this photo tell you? From one side it looks positive, after all the trash bin is full which indicates how people have done their best to keep the NY city clean. But this overwhelming amount of waste (metaphorically) cannot be good. No way it can be good.
Well, Bambadi. To me, the excessively filled waste bin with this plea to keep the home place tidy is a strong metaphor for how short sighted we have become. Consider how much of this waste collected there could have been saved by not even producing it. Your photograph makes me think. And that is a god thing for a photograph!

Yes true. This metaphor that you mentioned was the reason that I got interested in this scene to take the photo.
Congrats for the new theme! Hope to see better pictures as well 😀
Thanks dear friend… I also have the same hope 🙂
