the sidewalk

I had a little dilemma during “title selection” for this photo.
This is a photo of a wet sidewalk with some color/tones/levels adjustment. Because most of the visually visible things in this photo are colors and textures and not many “recognizable” objects are visible, the photo can be considered an “abstract” one (compared to a more realistic photograph of a “sidewalk”). It is of’course still essentially a sidewalk photograph, but it moves beyond it by paying less attention to the familiar “sidewalk” elements and emphasizing on colors, textures and lines.
This is a great photo of a wet sidewalk! I had to squint my eyes to realize that it was a sidewalk because, as you mentioned, the colors and shapes they form are what stands out. Keep up the great work!
If you have a moment, please visit my photoblog. I am new to photography, and as the sub-title of your blog states, I am learning to see also. Here is a link to my photoblog:

Dear Jerry,
Appreciate your comment. Sure I visit your visual-home. Talk to you there!
So often in life, one can quickly walk over a scene, pass unconsciously a moment in time and ignore the little wonders. I do really love the sparkling, the movement here. It looks just like my memories of a christmas tree, when I was a kid. Well, the colors are different, but the quality of light is what I mean. Great shot, bambadi.
cheers

Yes, and to be honest they are millions of such little “magical moments” which are felt or seen by a sensitive observer, but never captured by camera.
